Ever since I came up with this little combination I can’t get enough of it… The blueberries mixed with the carmely maca flavor really turns the tastebuds on!
Blueberries are at the top of the list of antioxidant rich fruits to support your immune system, they can help reduce muscle soreness and they contain loads of vitamin C and manganese helpful in keeping bones strong.
Maca is one of my favorite superfoods to use for its hormone regulating properties which can lead to increased fertility, libido, and endurance. It’s full of vitamin B,C & E and amino acids which are important for cell and muscle function.
And, of course I had to sneak in some veggies. The frozen zucchini in this smoothie adds fiber, greens and creaminess to the smoothie, as does the avocado; my go-to for healthy fats, fiber, and one of my favorite beauty foods!
This is one of my most digestive friendly smoothies that I like to enjoy for breakfast or afternoon snack to keep me full and energized until supper time.
I hope you enjoy it, show me your creations by #NourishingNelli on Facebook or Instagram!
