One of my all time favorites and go to’s after a hard session in the gym, or just when I want something nutrient dense and green to start my day! A little smoothie decoding for all the food nerds out there:
Protein powder, well, for protein! (easily digestible being made from plant sources)
Cacao powder for theobromine (hello feel good hormones) and a rich chocolatey taste
Cacao nibs because CHOCOLATE LOVER and see above
Mint leaves to aid digestion
Spirulina crunchies for added protein and minerals especially iron, b vitamins
Spinach for all its wonderful benefits: source of greens, iron, Vitamin C
Bananas for potassium and restoring glycogen stores (carbs!)
Almond Mylk for calcium, protein and to keep it dairy free
Cinnamon for balancing blood sugar levels as this contains carbohydrates
Avocado for creaminess, an excellent source of monounsaturated fats and to aid in absorbing some of the other nutrients that this shake provides
Topped with probiotic covered almonds for more healthy fats and to support our gut microbiome!

- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 cup packed spinach
- 1/4 th cup fresh mint sub with mint extract if necessary
- 1/2 cup Pure Vanilla Almond Mylk or sub. favorite almond milk
- 1 scoop vega sport chocolate protein powder or sub. favorite protein powder
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp Spirulina powder optional, yet recommended
- dash of cinnamon

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until creamy!

Top with: walnuts, chlorella tablets, chia seeds and you other favorite superfoods
